Observation

0170(3)(a) during the visit, Licensor observed a propane tank attached to a grill in the outdoor playspace accessible to children. 0170(3)(f) during the visit, provider was not able to show a written statement that the fireplace was off/and not in use. 0170(3)(g)(ii) during the visit, Licensor and provider were not able to locate a working carbon monoxide detector. The smoke alarms were not combination units. Dispute Description: 0170(3)(a) The grill/propane tank is completed covered for the safety of the children, the licensor was wondering what was inside and took her time to untie and uncover the grill and found out that there was a grill there. We have now removed it and moved it too the storage and i will take action in that, but the licensor can’t say that it was just out and accessible to them when she took her time to untie and uncover the grill. She needs to give us credit that it was covered and tied, not that it was just open for childcare. 0170(3)(f) My assistant was busy with the children, the licensor came at a busy time between lunch and naptime and the children were awake and this was not apart of there schedule, when the licensor asked my assists about the written statement that fireplace was either on/off or not in use. My assistant told the licensor that it was on the board and she kept working with the children because they all got up when the licensors walked in at 12:30. The licensor just wanted the assist to point it out on the board but she was busy working the children that had woken up from the licensors arrival. If the licensor looked at the board it is clearly posted there. 0170(3)(g)(ii) The licensor can clearly see the 2 working monoxide detector that my assistant had showed her. I don’t know what she means when she says she can’t locate it after my assistant had showed her where they are.
